Nowadays primary multiple tumors are not extremely rare. Their incidence constantly increases due to advancements of surgery and combined modality treatment, introduction of novel diagnostic methods, improved survival of patients as well as effect of adverse environmental factors. According to Chissov V.I. et al, in Russia the number of patients with primary multiple tumors among patients with first malignant neoplasm has a steady upward trend.

The unique clinical case-report of the successful treatment of multiple primary cancers: the cancer of the stomach with metachronous metastases to the ovaries, liver, and the peritoneum, and the cancer of the colon with simultaneous metastasis to the lung is presented. The authors show the difficulty of the clinical and morphological interpretation of the second tumors, as well as the necessity of immunohystological research. The authors consider it is necessary to take an active approach to treatment (surgery, chemotherapy) for such kind of patients with primary-multiple malignant tumors even if distant metastases are present.

KEY WORDS: primary-multiple cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, surgical treatment, combined treatment.
