Pre-clinical trials of test model of multifunctional manipulator for robot-assistance in precision surgery were conducted.

Material and methods. Pre-clinical trials of test model of multifunctional manipulator for robot-assistance in precision surgery were conducted МРАМ.941139.001. The study was performed on laboratory animals. The set of measurements of load bearing on surgical instruments used for retraction during surgery in animals. The measurement was performed by dynamometer PCE FM 1000 (Germany).

Results. Functions of test model of the Robot-assistant were examined through surgeries for radiofrequency ablation of malignant tumors. Conformance to medical and technical requirements of the Robot-assistant was tested. Objective assessment of robot sensory system was performed. Application of results: Diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical interventions using multifunctional manipulator for robot-assisted radiofrequency surgery.

Conclusion. Robot-assistant exercises required functions comprehensively and conforms to medical and technical requirements. Robot sensory system provides surgeon with necessary information about effort on surgical instrument.

* The study was performed for the purposes of State contract approved on October, 7 2011, № 16.523.11.3011 of Federal grant program «Investigations and advancement for priority development trends of scientific and technologic complex of Russia for 2007-2013 years».

KEY WORDS: pre-clinical trial, robot-assistant, load bearing, surgical instrument, robot-assistance.
