Experimental feasibility and clinical application of Tissucol in rehabilitation after oncological surgery

First experience with fibrin glue Tissucol Kit (Baxter) in Moscow city oncological hospital #62 is represented in the article. The fibrin glue Tissucol Kit is a lysate of binding protein including fibrinogen, fibronectin, factor ХIII, plasminogen and aprotinin solution. Through its action elastic and stable fibrin clot securing hemostasis and healing of surrounding tissue is developed.

Authors used this medicine in different clinical circumstances (for consolidation of pharyngeal sutures, for lymphorrhea management). However Tissucol Kit was the most effective in patients with excessive and continuous lymphorrhea for which management with conventional methods was failured. Detailed description of use of this medicine according to area and volume of wound surface is represented. The case report demonstrates vividly possibilities of Tissucol Kit and allows to recommend it for application in other fields of oncology.
